How do i find out who my grandparents and great grandparents were

  • How do I find out who my grandparents and great grandparents were. My name is Ronald Wayne Blakeley (Blakely) Before change and I believe it was (Blake) before that. My dad's name was Robert Leroy Blakely Sr. And my mom was Dorothy Mae Watkins Maiden name before marrying my dad. I would appreciate any help I can get

    Hello.

    So apparently we are in the same family.  We have been researching this for a while.

    My grandpa is the son of Golda (Robert Washington Blakeley’s daughter).

    What we have found is that Robert Washington Blakeley shot his stepdaughter (Effie Alford) and she died.  He ended up being arrested, tried, and convicted and sentenced to death in McAlester.  He was sent to the electric chair.

    He fathered a child with his stepdaughter (Effie).  I believe that child is Robert Leroy Blakeley.

    Hello, it seems we're in the same family as well, although your comment made me feel a bit older than I was expecting to on this search as my grandfather was one of Golda's siblings.

    I've been trying to track down Robert Washington's parents for some time and think I've finally got it, but would like to compare notes.
